Weekend at the Mall

The kids had a lot of fun at the mall. The lunch was great.

Japanese it was. I remember when I was younger, I too frequented the mall to check out what's the latest gadgets, guitars, bikes and whatever I fancied. Now, I'm letting my kids enjoy the weekends as well.

After all, school like the office can be hectic too. Ah..... thank God for these kids... they make us work even harder. But this weekend, I'll be in Tagaytay on my bike... Vrrrrrrrrrrm....

A Weeklong Financial High

I officially got a visit today from Union Bank Tektite's VP and they officially apologized for the inconvenience I had when they made a mistake by handing me the wrong card.

Apparently, had I not inform them about their mistake, I could have gotten away with the whole amount.

I feel sorry for the real owner of the Card. or Do I feel sorry for myself? lol


Anyway, at least I felt more financially secured for more than a week. I could have bought my self a Suzuki Swift to handle all the traffic in Manila, or better yet an Aprilia for my weekend getaways. What would you have done if you were in my shoes?

Cindy just got Re-fretted

I just got my trusty old Strat re-fretted and man! Jon De la Cruz did a great job! Not only did he do it overnight, even upon closer inspection, it seemed it was never worked on.

There was no sign of glue residue, no more "buzz on all the frets and my guitar sound... (mind you, it already has a superb sound from the great California alder wood and Rosewood US fender neck and middle pick-ups and Di Marzio tone zone switchable to single and humbucking) was truly awesome.

The tone alone makes every note bend cry. You gotta play and hear it to believe it.

More Than 700K In My Monthly Pay!

16 August 2007. As I descended from the office parking spaces and headed to the bank, I was a bit anxious whether our pay was already given. I have heard that some of my staff were not able to receive their salaries on time.

As I called our accounting department, I was informed that the payroll has been processed and that whatever problem it was, was caused by the bank. As I eagerly checked my account I was surprised to see more than seven hundred thousand pesos in my account.

I checked again and it showed the same figure. On the third time, I withdrew only the amount I was supposed to get. If you were in my shoes? Would you be getting the whole amount? Or do what I did? I reported it to my Finance Director and told her about the bank's mistake.

But I tell you, if I check my card tomorrow and still find the money there... I might have to reconsider. LOL.

Morning Treat... Quickie Special... BAM!

I was on my way to work and found this accident that happened along Canley road. For those of you who have "been this way" for other reasons, you know what transpires behind the confines of the establishments along this road.

Seeing the van and the way it was positioned on the pavement I asked my self.... Hmmmm!? i wonder if they were coming or going?

Maybe they couldn't decide whether to get the off-peak special or the quickie offer... Man it's eight in the morning! Can't they make up their mind and do it at home before going to work? Or is this something which is to be for keeps? lol
